| Monthly retainer | An agreed block of engineering capacity each month, increased through a release push and reduced afterwards. Suited to continuing drawing office and production support work. |
| Fixed scope | A defined deliverable against a defined price. A drawing package, a subassembly taken to release, a design freeze package. |
Most engagements start within two weeks of an agreed scope.
What to Send
None of this is required, but it helps to include it in a first e-mail:
- What the hardware is and what stage it has reached.
- The work you need covered, or the deliverable you need.
- The release date or milestone the work has to meet.
- Which CAD system you run, and whether we would be working in your vault.
- Any drawing standard, part numbering scheme or quality system we would need to work to.
